Tito Puente Jr. is an American bandleader, percussionist, songwriter, and producer who comes from Latin music royalty as the son of the legendary “King of Latin Music,” Tito Puente. Throughout his career, he has embraced his father’s immense musical legacy while carving out his own path, blending traditional mambo and salsa with contemporary electronic influences and jazz elements.

Puente Jr. has established himself as a dynamic performer, headlining at casinos, performing arts centers, and major jazz festivals across the United States. His commitment to preserving and evolving his father’s work is showcased in celebrated projects like his 2004 album, In My Father’s Shoes, which was adapted into a BET Jazz television special. He also collaborated with fellow descendants of Latin music pioneers to form The Big 3 Palladium Orchestra, a tribute to the iconic headliners of New York’s historic Palladium Ballroom.

Beyond his musical contributions, Puente Jr. is recognized for his philanthropic work and community engagement, including performing for U.S. troops on USO tours and supporting charitable causes like Toys for Tots and the Jerry Lewis MD Telethon.
